IT Systems Administrator - Dallas
The IT Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in delivering our mission and achieving our goals. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the IT service providers and partners for the company, which operates in a primarily cloud-hosted environment. You will need to have a strong familiarity with Azure, Hyper V, and hosted solutions, proactively monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks while keeping with best practices and planning for company growth. The ideal candidate will able to install, maintain and troubleshoot the local network at the branch. Provide end user support through strong troubleshooting skills. Setup and maintain Active Directory and O365 accounts, computer hardware, software, and systems.
This position will have a great opportunity to grow into a more technical position and grow skillsets as the company fills out its staff over the next couple years. We will have a need for someone with the ability to make minor tweaks to our ERP interface, Prophet21. Existing familiarity with Prophet21 is a big plus. Other desired skillsets include DBA, Programming, and Project Management.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Managing Network and Systems Service providers including Microsoft, public and private cloud providers, network, Windows on prem datacenter, Hosted PBX.
- Maintain AD, O365, and hardware endpoints, thin clients, laptops, office phones and smart devices.
- IT support and administration relating to technical issues involving Microsoft core business applications.
- Provide end-user support and administration for ERP Prophet 21. Execute day to day maintenance related task for ERP – SQL scripts, data migration,
- Create system documentation that includes installation, procedures, end-user how-to, application/system workflows and diagrams.
- Ensure system uptime and availability for On Prem, hosted and cloud solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships with vendors. Review pricing and billing with subscriptions and contracts.
- Implement, configure and maintain enterprise backups – servers, end-points, and cloud tenants. Develop backup policies and procedures. Create and maintain disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Manage an enterprise end point security solution. Confirm deployments, configuration, and policies are up to date.
- Effectively communicate with end-users, maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Collaborate as a technical resource with team members involving Systems.
- Plan, test, document and implement IT System solutions.
- Serve as Project Lead on System implementation projects.
Educational Requirements and/or Experience Required
- At least a high school diploma, College degree preferred.
Skills
- 2+ Years IT experience
- IT support and administration relating to technical issues involving Microsoft core business applications.
- Support services for Windows Server, M365, Microsoft SQL and SharePoint, Azure.
- Administer network configurations for SD-WAN, LAN, DMZ for IP, VoIP, Backup, networks.
- Provide end-user support and administration for ERP Prophet 21. Execute day to day maintenance related task for ERP – SQL scripts, data migration,
- Configure and maintain cloud-based phone system. Call trees, hunt group configuration, call forwarding and disaster routing services.
- Implement, configure and maintain enterprise backups – servers, end-points, and cloud tenants. Develop backup policies and procedures.
- Manage an enterprise end point security solution. Confirm deployments, configuration, and policies are up to date.
- Effectively communicate with end-users maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Effectively communicate as a technical resource with team members involving Systems.
- Capacity to Project Lead on System implementation projects.
